CA Citizens Redistricting Commission: Making it as Hard as Possible to Participate

I just received an email stating that I made the “first cut” for the CA Citizen’s Redistricting Commission. I have no idea what exactly that means or says about me. I would share the contents of the email, and I am still debating it, but the lawyer in me heeds the confidentiality notice at the bottom of the email.

The app, at this juncture, requires three letters of recommendation. Come on! The Commission is already getting enough flack for a lack of diversity in its applicant pool, and now they are making it even harder to participate.
